Five former Lagos Commissioners retain spots in Sanwo-Olu’s cabinet nominees

In a move to ensure continuity and retain experienced hands, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has included some former cabinet members in his newly proposed list of nominees. Among those making a comeback are familiar faces well-known for their contributions to the development of the state.

Former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, is among the esteemed individuals returning to serve in the state’s governance. Also making a comeback is his counterpart in Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Egube, whose expertise in economic matters has been pivotal in the state’s growth trajectory.

The list also includes Prof. Akin Abayomi, the former Commissioner for Health, known for his dedication and efforts in advancing healthcare services in Lagos State. Another former member of the cabinet, Aramide Adeyooye, who previously served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, will also be joining the team once again.

Completing the list of former commissioners making their way back into the fold is Tokunbo Wahab, the former Commissioner for Education. His extensive knowledge and commitment to the improvement of the education sector make his return an invaluable asset to the state’s educational development.

By reappointing these experienced and capable individuals, Governor Sanwo-Olu is demonstrating his appreciation for their past contributions and his confidence in their abilities to continue driving positive change in Lagos State. The inclusion of these seasoned professionals in the new cabinet is expected to bolster the administration’s efforts to build a stronger, more prosperous Lagos for all its residents.
