Five persons, including the landlord and twins, were injured when a two-storey building partially collapsed in Bariga, Lagos.
The building, which went down around 9:30pm on Sunday, had been distressed for months.
The injured were Pa Ayilara, the landlord, the twin girls, Kehinde and Taiye, their brother Idowu and another unnamed child. They are in hospital.
The building has been cordoned off.
In a statement, LASEMA spokesman Kehinde Adebayo said the residents were evacuated before the house was sealed.
“Director-General Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu has advised the owner of the structure to ensure holistic assessment is carried out by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABSCA) before any repair,” he said.
