A devastating flood has submerged over 250 homes in the Natsinta community of Jibia Local Government Area, Katsina State, following heavy rainfall.
Reports from DAILY POST indicate that, while no lives were lost, numerous individuals sustained injuries, with some currently receiving treatment in local hospitals. The disaster has affected more than 1,000 people, including women and children.
Hon. Mustafa Yusuf, the lawmaker representing the constituency in the State House of Assembly, expressed deep concern over the extent of the damage. He assured the victims that the State House of Assembly would address the issue, aiming to prompt the State government to provide necessary assistance.
Hon. Yusuf also called on stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations, politicians, and members of the business community, to extend support to those affected by the flood.
