Flying Eagles defender, Solomon Agbalaka joins Russian club PFC Sochi

Flying Eagles defender, Solomon Agbalaka, has completed a move to Russian club PFC Sochi on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old talent, previously part of Nigeria National League side Broad City, has chosen to further develop his skills in the Russian Premier League.

Agbalaka’s decision to join Sochi reportedly came after turning down offers from notable German and Belgian clubs, showcasing his confidence in the potential offered by the Russian club. The move marks a turning point for the left-back, demonstrating his ambition to reach new heights in the world of professional football.

Having recently participated in the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and the FIFA U-20 World Cup as a key member of the Flying Eagles squad, Agbalaka’s skills have not gone unnoticed. His impressive performance during these tournaments earned him a spot in the Team of the Tournament at the U-20 AFCON, which was hosted by Egypt.

Throughout these competitions, Agbalaka showcased his determination and consistency by playing every minute of the Flying Eagles’ matches.
