Former Senate President Ahmad Lawan loses mother

The family of Senator Ahmad Lawan, the immediate past President of the Senate, sadly announces the passing of his beloved mother, Hajiya Halima (Baba) Ibrahim. The sad event occurred on Saturday at her residence in Gashua town, Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Dr Ezrel Tabiowo, media adviser to Senator Lawan, conveyed the news and revealed that Hajiya Halima Ibrahim passed away at the age of 86. The family has planned her burial to take place on Sunday in Gashua, following Islamic rites.

The statement read, “Funeral prayers will, thereafter, be said for the deceased at the Gashua Central Mosque, located in the Emir’s Palace.”
