Four civilians, three police officers killed as suspected herdsmen raid Taraba community
At least seven people, including three police officers and four civilians, have been killed following an attack on Tor-Damisa community in Donga Local Government Area.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when suspected Fulani herdsmen stormed the area, firing gunshots indiscriminately.
Security operatives from the Taraba State Police Command responded swiftly, leading to a violent exchange of gunfire.
Sources confirmed that the confrontation resulted in multiple fatalities, with both civilians and police personnel among the victims.
The attack has sparked fear across the community, forcing several residents to flee to nearby areas for safety.
Attempts to reach the police spokesperson, Lasheh James, were unsuccessful, as calls and messages were not returned at the time of filing this report.
