Fraudsters have reportedly compromised Kazeem Akinleye, the chief of staff, ‘s Facebook account with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In a statement shared with journalists on Friday, the Office of the Chief of Staff confirmed the breach. Akinleye stated that the fraudsters are using the account to contact unsuspecting individuals about official matters.
The statement emphasized that the Chief of Staff does not use his Facebook page for official communication and urged the public to disregard any messages from the hacked account. It also warned of potential fraudulent activities and urged residents to stay alert and report any suspicious interactions.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the public that the Facebook account of Osun State Chief of Staff has been hacked. The fraudster is using the page to communicate with unsuspecting individuals about state matters. Any communication received through Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye’s Facebook account should be ignored to avoid falling victim to fraud.”
