FreeSolomonAkuma: Sowore makes case for young pharmacist languishing in police detention for over 300 days 

Former Presidential aspirant and leader of Revolution Now Group, to. Omoyele Sowore, on Monday, called out the Nigerian police for holding a young pharmacist, Solomon Akuma, in detention for over 300 days without trial.

Mr. Sowore, who also called out President Muhammadu Buhari, said it is only under a tyrannical government like Buhari’s Nigeria that a citizen will be arrested and held in detention over a mere Twitter banter.

The former Presidential aspirant who spoke via social media app, Twitter, informed that the court hearing for Akuma’s case was supposed to be today (Monday January 18), but was adjourned till February 24.

He wrote; “#FreeSolomonAkuma Solomon Akuma, the young pharmacist who’s languished in @PoliceNG detention for over 300 days over a @twitter banter was at the Federal Court today but the court did not sit, his case has been adjourned till February 24, it is sad, tyrant @mbuhari regime is evil.”
