FRSC promotes 25 officers, 79 other ranks in Ekiti
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ekiti State Command, has promoted and decorated 104 personnel, including 25 officers and 79 other ranks.
The command decorated the beneficiaries during two separate ceremonies held at its headquarters and various unit commands across the state.
While decorating the newly promoted personnel, the Sector Commander, Sanya Adeoye, congratulated them and praised the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for approving the promotions.
Adeoye urged the personnel to repay the confidence placed in them by the FRSC through professionalism, discipline and dedication to duty.
He reminded them that their new ranks came with increased responsibilities. He also urged them to uphold the values of the Corps’ founding fathers by maintaining discipline and rejecting corruption.
The sector commander further charged the personnel to maintain professional standards while carrying out their duties.
He said they must remain committed to the FRSC’s core responsibility of reducing road crashes and promoting a lasting culture of road safety across the country.
According to Adeoye, “promotion is from God.” He encouraged personnel who did not receive promotions this time to remain dedicated to their duties and continue giving their best.
He assured them that their opportunity would come in due course.
Adeoye also appealed to motorists and other road users to obey traffic rules and regulations as Nigeria approaches the ember months.
He noted that road movement usually increases during the period, making greater caution necessary to prevent crashes.
The sector commander congratulated the promoted personnel and wished them success as they take on their new responsibilities.
