Fuel hell: Atiku, Peter Obi under fire for refusing to lead protest against Tinubu

In the midst of the recent fuel price hike that has caused widespread hardship across Nigeria, prominent political figures Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party are facing criticism for their reluctance to lead a protest against the government’s actions.

Social media commentator and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has publicly criticised the two leaders, accusing them of missing a significant opportunity to demonstrate their leadership and stand with the Nigerian people during this challenging time.

Adeyanju expressed his disappointment in a tweet, asserting that the situation presents a prime moment for protest, but both Atiku and Obi seem unwilling to take the initiative.

The activist also pointed to the perceived fear of facing controversial figures like Dokubo Asari and MC Oluomo, who are staunch supporters of Bola Tinubu.

He tweeted, “See opportunity to do protest now but everyone is avoiding it. Nobody want to face Dokubo Asari and MC Oluomo on the streets. All the thieves that stole #EndSARS money after Sowore & I started it have ran away. Atiku and Obi the cowards are too scarred to lead any protest.”
