Unknown gunmen, on Thursday night, shot dead the youth leader of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN) in Barikin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victim, Alh Ya’u Yusuf, according to the family, was attacked while eating in front of his house in Barikin Ladi around 7pm.
Garba Abdullahi Muhammed, GAFDAN state chairman, who confirmed the attack told newsmen that the gunmen met the victim and one other person but shot him alone.
He said, “He was eating together with a friend in front of his house when suddenly gunmen opened fire on him. They shot him severally. The DPO of Barikin Ladi has visited the scene and evacuated the body and deposited it at the hospital. I have equally informed the state Commissioner of Police of the incident.”
Spokesman of the State Police Command, Ubah Gabriel, did not respond to the call and text messages sent to him.
