The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has initiated a significant reshuffle within the police force, ordering the redeployment of 40 senior officers. This includes 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and 26 Commissioners of Police.
The redeployment aims to align with the recent elevations of senior officers to their next ranks. The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, provided a breakdown of the new postings:
