The Federal Ministry of Education, on Tuesday, declared a suspension of the assessment and accreditation of degree certificates originating from the Republic of Benin and Togo. This decision comes in response to an undercover investigation conducted by a Nigerian newspaper, revealing the operations of a degree mill in Cotonou, a significant city in Benin Republic.
The investigative report detailed how a journalist acquired a degree from Cotonou University in just six weeks and also participated in the mandatory one-year scheme organized by the National Youth Service Corps.
