President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members to the management team of the FGN Power Company Limited, as disclosed in a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Ngelale highlighted that these appointments underscore the critical role of power supply in propelling enterprise and industrial development across the country.
The move is part of a comprehensive effort to reform the power sector and ensure energy security for all Nigerians, Ngelale noted.
In his statement, Ngelale expressed President Tinubu’s anticipation that with the full constitution of the management team, the FGN Power Company Limited will diligently work towards achieving the core objectives of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI). This will be done in close collaboration with Siemens Energy, focusing on a holistic overhaul, modernization, and expansion of the national grid. These efforts aim to enhance the growth of the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
