President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of individuals to serve in the Office of the President under the Media and Publicity Directorate. This move aims to bolster communication efforts and enhance public engagement.
In an official statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the following appointments were outlined:
Mr. Fela Durotoye Senior Special Assistant to the President — National Values & Social Justice
Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo Senior Special Assistant to the President — Public Engagement
Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe Senior Special Assistant to the President — Strategic Communications
Mr. Aliyu Audu Special Assistant to the President — Public Affairs
Mr. Francis Adah Abah Personal Assistant to the President — Special Duties
Additionally, President Tinubu approved the secondment of Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
The President emphasized the importance of upholding the highest standards of decorum and decency in engaging with the public. He urged the newly appointed individuals to contribute to his determined mission of renewing hope in a restructured economy and a unified society that caters to the diverse needs of all Nigerians.
The appointments were made in adherence to Nigeria’s federal character principle and the meritocracy inherent in the selection process.
