Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Conor Gallagher has returned to Chelsea. However, the Chelsea manager mentioned that Gallagher is currently training separately from the rest of the squad.
Gallagher was on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid and even travelled to Madrid to finalize the move. However, the deal collapsed at the last minute after Chelsea decided not to proceed with the signing of Samu Omorodion.
Now back at Chelsea, Gallagher is working on resolving his future.
Maresca stated, “Conor is back. He is training apart, undergoing some medical tests and training sessions.”
“He won’t be involved in the game. At this moment, he is trying to find a solution with the club.”
