Speaking with DAILY POST on Friday, the victim, who gave his name as Ogbeche, said after buying a pair of boot from Mukaila, the man demanded for his phone number and asked him to come back later in the day.
According to Ogbeche, “I went to his shop around Otukpo main market to buy a football boot. After several minutes of bargaining, I paid him and he asked me to give him my phone number, which I did. I was later surprised when he called me and asked me to come to his place.”
Sensing danger from the man’s desperation, the young man said he was afraid and decided to inform some of his friends who promised to follow him there.
He added, “I told him that I don’t have transportation fare. But he insisted on paying for me. So, I informed some of the people around me because I didn’t really want to go but they promised to go with me.
“We went there but I walked in alone. After he paid for my transportation, he also bought me airtime and asked me to come inside his room. I put my phone on record and was recording every bit of our conversation.
“Before I knew what was happening, he removed his trousers and started touching my manhood, trying to force his manhood into my anus, that was when I raised alarm and my friend came in and arrested him,” Ogbeche added.
He said the timely intervention of the vigilante from Igbanomaje saved the man from being lynched by angry mobs who caught him stack naked in his shop.
Asked if he was handed over to the police, a member of the vigilante said his people came and begged them to allow him go after listening to the recorded conversation.
