As the death toll from Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre surpasses 1,300, with over 3,000 wounded and more than 100 hostages taken into the Gaza Strip, the Fatah faction led by Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas is being criticized for praising and celebrating the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli citizens.
The Bethlehem Branch of Fatah recently posted a video featuring disturbing imagery and a song in the background. One image portrayed Israelis as a rat being trampled by a boot adorned with the colors of the Palestinian flag. Another image depicted a uniformed man paragliding onto the map of “Palestine,” alluding to Hamas terrorists who used this method during their recent attacks. The imagery included logos of “The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – the Wasps’ Nest,” showcasing terrorists armed with assault rifles.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades logo displayed in the video featured crossed rifles and a grenade above the Dome of the Rock, accompanied by Palestinian flags below it. The text on the logo referenced a Quranic verse, urging believers to fight and promising punishment to adversaries, further raising concerns about the glorification of violence.
