Bolarinwa was picked up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Alagbado area of Lagos on Wednesday, January 12, 2022..
Before his arrested, the suspect claimed President Muhammadu Buhari had shortlisted him and one other at large as the next Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, noted that Bolarinwa forged a letter of appointment as COAS purportedly signed by Buhari and showed the same to the victim.
