In consonance with the scriptures, Dunamis International Gospel Center Otukpo, today commissioned solar-powered Street lights in Otukpo.
The gesture which was the first of its kind by missions in the area attracted a huge ululation from members of the congregation and the public.
Speaking during the commissioning, the Resident Pastor, Israel Elaigwu who thanked the senior pastor of the congregation, Dr Paul Enenche for making the project a reality disclosed that it was the responsibility of the Church to add value to the community of its operations.
Pastor Elaigwu who was flanked by Bishop Ogah at the ceremony said it was to commemorate the Destiny Recovery and Restoration Convention as well as the Anniversary of the Church in Otukpo central.
Performing the commissioning, the former chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Chief George Alli who commended the church for the provision of street lights said he was not surprised by the kind gesture.
“I am glad to be invited to commission this street light donated by the church. Ordinarily, it should be the other way round but as a member of this commission Dunamis, I’m not surprised because the senior pastor has been given back to the society in several ways”.
According to the former council boss, ” there is t this gesture will be very helpful especially as Ember months draw to a close. The bad people used darkness to perpetrate evil but this street will be exempted as they can not carry out their dastardly act with the illumination that would be provided by these Street lights”.
