Rt. Hon. George Alli, the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, on Friday November 20th 2020, visited Ugboju-Otahe where he made a brief stop over to inspect a 4km road at Okwudu Unwaba-Oju/Effiyi Ipole village.
Hon. Alli was decked in a black hooded top on a carton coloured chinos, with a carton coloured sneakers and fitted eyeglass was accompanied by the Councillor representing Ugboju-Otahe Ward in the Otukpo Legislative Assembly, Hon Jimmy Nart and three others, drove through the road briefly before heading back to Otukpo.
The Otukpo Council Chairman said he is happy that the road which some people in the community said was unmotorable is being graded, as it will ease human and vehicler movement and boost the economic activities of the area; but that he is not satisfied with the quality of job done so far.
A youth from the community who gave his name as Sunday Aboh said:”Before now we used to struggle to pass this road. Our only means of transport was motorcycles and bicycles, but with this grading I believe cars can now enter our village freely.
