Former Big Brother Naija contestant Eloswag is facing backlash following the accidental posting of a private video featuring an unidentified woman on his Snapchat account.
The footage, which was reportedly intended for private viewing, quickly went viral after it was briefly visible on Eloswag’s account and subsequently shared by the popular blog GistLover.
The swift circulation of the video has ignited a heated debate online, with fans and social media users split over the incident. While Eloswag contends that he deleted the video immediately, it was captured and disseminated by GistLover, a blog known for its controversial posts and previous speculation about his sexual orientation.
The blog’s decision to share the video on X (formerly Twitter) raised eyebrows, suggesting that Eloswag may have posted it in response to ongoing rumors regarding his sexuality.
In response to the leak, Eloswag expressed his frustration and is contemplating legal action against GistLover, questioning how the blog managed to obtain the video despite his prompt deletion. In a now-deleted post on X, he stated, “I posted a video mistakenly on my Snapchat at 3 am and deleted it immediately; guess who has the video? GistLover? How? Please can I sue? It doesn’t make sense.”
The incident has elicited mixed reactions online. Some fans criticized Eloswag for having such private content on his device, while others empathized with him, recognizing the potential for accidental posts due to Snapchat’s often confusing interface.
