‘Go and know your COVID-19 status’ – Ortom tells Benue people after virus hit First Family

Governor Samuel Ortom, on behalf of his immediate family, domestic staff and aides, deeply appreciates Benue people and other Nigerians home and abroad, for their show of concern, goodwill and prayers, to enable the family win the battle against COVID-19.

The Governor says his family feels truly loved and remains grateful to the people who have continued to send messages of solidarity and best wishes.

He states that his wife, son and the others who tested positive for COVID-19 are in stable condition and receiving treatment.

Governor Ortom says in the next few days, another test will be conducted to ascertain the current status of the affected family members, domestic staff and aides.

He encourages Benue people to take advantage of the ongoing COVID-19 Test Sample Collection to know their status.

The Governor restates the need for the people to adhere to prevention measures such as physical distancing, the use of face masks, alcohol-based sanitizers and frequent hand washing with soap.
