GOOD NEWS! Madrid club signs young Idoma-born footballer in Spain (PHOTOS)

A fast-rising Idoma-born footballer, Jerome Ochigbo has been signed by a top Spanish club in Madrid.
The talented left fullback joined Rayo Vallecano de Madrid FC in the Segunda División on Wednesday after completing his medicals.

Confirming the development, chairman of Ichama community in Ireland, Samuel Udeh told IDOMA VOICE that the young footballer is currently plying his trade with the Spanish club.
He said, “On behalf of Jerome Ochigbo family, myself and Peter Ejeh in Spain all Ichama sons, we are happy to announce that our young one Jerome Ochigbo of Ai-Okpe clan is now with us in Europe. Jerome just entered Madrid on Wednesday morning to play for his newly signed club.
Jerome and I started this process some time early last year, thank God Jehovah has approved it for us and Jerome is in Spain. This is another milestone for Ichama community.”
Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, S.A.D., often abbreviated to Rayo, is a Spanish football team based in Madrid, in the neighbourhood of Vallecas. Founded on 29 May 1924, the club currently plays in Segunda División, Spain’s second tier division
Rayo Vallecano is currently 13th on the table.
