The task ahead is a huge one. This isn’t the time to blame anyone for the state of disrepair on this facility. We have blamed and criticized without finding solutions from the authority.
At the moment, the solution lies with us. Are we also going to tow the same path? Let’s work and pray.
We need our collective effort to fix this library if we want to restore the culture of reading, end youth restiveness and also raise the standard of education in Idomaland.
The library in question serves the entire zone C and Taraku (Gwer East). People from different backgrounds trooped in to read and consult materials in the hey days of the library. This library served Medical doctors, professors, Engineers, lawyers, teachers and people from other fields in the past. Those who benefitted immensely from this library are scattered all over the world and they are making their marks today.
Here is a call for all of us to immortalize our names as we plan to permanently acknowledge the contributors to the Otukpo library project with indelible graphics to serve as reference for generations to come. The bank’s details again:
