Popular Nigerian gospel artist, Damilare Odunuga, known professionally as Dare Melody, has opened up about the struggles his late wife, Adedoyin, endured due to his family’s actions.
Adedoyin passed away from a heart-related illness on October 24, 2024.
In a video shared on the Kilarigbo YouTube page, Dare Melody recounted the difficult treatment his wife faced from his family.
He shared, “My family frustrated Adedoyin. I would reassure her, saying, ‘Adedoyin, I’m the one you married; whenever you see me, just find peace.’”
He went on to describe Adedoyin’s steadfast support, even during challenging times. “She was there for me, whether we had food or not. In 2010, God told me I’d release ‘Goodness and Mercy,’ which revived my career. It opened doors for us, and I began building a house.”
“A friend reminded me, ‘This woman stood by you; let’s build a home for her.’ I replied, ‘Everything I have is hers.’”
The couple married in October 2017 and shared three daughters together.
