Gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey has refuted claims of selling tickets for his Hallelujah Festival, responding to an accusation made by a user named Timi on the microblogging platform X.
Timi accused the gospel singer of selling tickets to generate profit, stating, “Hallelujah challenge that started as IG live, Nathaniel Bassey is already selling tickets for a physical concert. See here is business growth. My God, what a strategy.”
In response to the allegation, Nathaniel Bassey clarified that they had never sold any tickets for the event. He stated, “Please, those of you that got tickets, how much did you pay for it? That’s how people tweet themselves into problems. May God forgive them. Please, the tickets are free, registration is only required! We have never sold tickets and will never do. Satan is a LIAR!”
In June, Nathaniel Bassey led a successful worship session known as the #HallelujahChallenge, which garnered significant attention, attracting top celebrities and thousands of followers for a midnight to 1 am worship session. The success of the challenge resulted in increased followers for the artist, media coverage on CNN, and Instagram verification. The event concluded with the release of a single titled ‘Olowogbogboro’ and the Hallelujah Festival.
