Gov Adeleke gives 28-year-old daughter one- year ultimatum to marry

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has playfully urged his daughter Nike to find a spouse and get married soon.

During a Q&A session on her Instagram page, Nike asked her father about his feelings regarding her single status at 28, prompting a humorous and heartfelt response from the governor.

“How do you feel about me not being married yet?” she asked.

The Governor, who got married at 27 and had Nike’s brother Adesina soon after, reminded his daughter that she is not getting any younger and encouraged her to start thinking about settling down.

“You’re not getting any younger,” he said with a chuckle. “Better start getting ready to get married. That’s the next thing. You think you’re young? I’m expecting all those toasters. Better bring one and tell me, ‘Dad, this is the one I’m going to marry.’”

Adeleke playfully added, “At your age, I got married and had your brother Adesina. You’re now 28, I’m giving you one more year.”

Nike laughed and appreciated her father’s lighthearted remarks, clearly enjoying the playful exchange.
