Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Grace, were in Oju Local Government during rhe week for the Grand Finale of the Igede Agba Celebration and Prayer Summit.
The event, held in the heart of the Igede community, has brought together a diverse group of dignitaries, religious leaders, and enthusiastic residents to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and religious diversity of the region.
Upon his arrival, Governor Alia addressed the crowd, expressing his delight at being a part of this significant event.
He emphasized the importance of unity among different communities within Benue State and the need for continued cultural and religious tolerance.
Dr. Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan, the Former First Lady of Nigeria, also took the stage to deliver a heartfelt message to the gathering. She commended the Igede community for preserving their cultural heritage and stressed the importance of celebrating the uniqueness of each Nigerian community.The Grand Finale of the Igede Agba Celebration featured a diverse array of cultural performances, including traditional dances, music, and art exhibitions. Additionally, a prayer summit was held, with religious leaders from various faiths offering prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Benue State and Nigeria as a whole.
