Gov Alia set to construct multimillion-naira new Governor’s Office amid hardship, hunger in Benue
Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has cleared the site to commence the construction of a new Governor’s office designed to meet international standards.
The project is part of Governor Alia’s broader vision to upgrade state infrastructure, attract investment, and foster economic growth.
The new office will be built to the highest specifications, intended to serve as a functional and modern workspace that reflects the state’s commitment to progress.
However, this development comes amid the state’s inability to meet its commitment to a N70,000 minimum wage for workers.
With many residents affected by economic hardship, there are concerns about prioritizing the Governor’s office project while these pressing issues remain unresolved.
According to the governor’s media office, the construction will create local job opportunities and enhance the appeal of the Benue State Government House as an inviting destination for dignitaries and investors.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for the coming weeks, with a set timeline for completion.
