The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, is currently attending an Executive leadership retreat for Nigerian Governors in Kigali, Rwanda. The retreat, scheduled from August 24th to 27th, 2023, is being funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The primary goal of the retreat is to provide a platform for public officials, including Governor Alia, to collectively reflect, learn, and exchange insights on effective leadership and complex challenges.
The UNDP has expressed its anticipation that the program, organized in collaboration with the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, will equip participating leaders with enhanced leadership skills, knowledge, and the mindset required to effectively lead others.
Governor Alia was accompanied by his principal private secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, during this retreat.
