The Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed disappointment over the reckless utterance of political leaders insinuating that Benue people where behind the violent killings that occurred earlier this year despite overwhelming evidence and confessions by fulani herders.

Governor Ortom made this known at the funeral service in honour of late Pa Kwaghngu Atebawa in Gbajimba Guma local government of the State.

Prominent amongst dignitaries at the funeral service of late Pa Kwaghngu Atebawa was the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom who testified that he witnessed the elder give his life to Christ and urged those present to follow the same path while still opportuned.

Senior special assistant to the Governor on special duties Abrahams Kwaghngu the eleventh child of the deceased appreciated the show of solidarity and fondly remembered his father.

On the 11th October, the late Pa Kwaghngu Atebawa passed on after a protracted illness at the age of a hundred and seven.
