Gov. Ortom condole family of late Makurdi Imam

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, today visited the Makurdi home of the late Imam, Makurdi Central Mosque, Mallam Lawal Zakaria to condole the family over his death on Monday.

Represented by his deputy, Engr. Benson Abounu, Governor Ortom, who expressed sadness over the untimely death called on the family and the Muslim community in the state to bear the loss with equanimity, as death is a sure thing that would come to everyone.

The leader of the Muslim Umma in the state, Alhaji Garba Baba, who received the team on behalf of the family thanked Governor Ortom and his deputy for the condolence visit and for their constant support for the Muslim Umma in the state.

Engr Benson Abounu was accompanied on the visit by his Chief of Staff, Adah Ikwom and former Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Alhaji Isa Usman.

Prayers were made for the repose of the soul of the late Imam.
