Governor Samuel Ortom has acknowledged the contributions of the Enenche family to the spiritual and educational growth of the state and Nigeria at large.
He spoke today in Okonu-Ede Ipole, Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area during a funeral oration at the burial of Mrs. Mariam Enenche, wife of Major General John Enenche.
The Governor stated that his association with Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor in charge of Dunamis International Gospel Centre and other members of his family had remained fruitful.
He expressed delight that even in death, the deceased was still winning souls for Christ, even as he expressed hope that the sermon by Pastor Enenche would encourage the living to serve God with renewed strength.
While condoling Major General Enenche and the entire Enenche family over the unfortunate demise of their beloved wife, Governor Ortom expressed happiness that she left behind a wonderful family and that she was resting with the Lord.
He stated that the crowd at the burial was a fulfilment of the scriptures to mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice.
Husband of the deceased, Major General John Enenche in a vote of thanks, expressed appreciation to Governor Samuel Ortom, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, Pastor Paul Enenche, professional colleagues and all those who stood by him during his moment of grief.
While charging the living to serve God diligently, he stated that he was happy because his late wife lived and died in the Lord.
In a funeral service, Pastor Paul Enenche, who preached on the theme: “what is life,” described life as a vapour and as a gift which disappears anytime and which must be used to the pleasure of the giver respectively.
