Dear friend, since yesterday, you have called Governor Samuel Ortom many negative names for daring to provide new blocks and other amenities at the Mama Abayol Orphanage. You have described the project as “nothing meaningful”. Unknown to you, these are the projects United Nations through its agencies such as UNICEF and other global organisations want governments to give greater attention to. You surely didn’t see the condition of that orphanage before it was rehabilitated.
Friend, if you see nothing good about the new Mama Abayol Children’s Home, then you certainly do not wish those children of Benue at the orphanage well. Perhaps you have condemned the kids in the orphanage as not worthy of life or future. You do not want the Home to breathe freshness with new facilities and equipment, but you want every good thing of life for your children, siblings and cousins, right?
Well, the good news is that God has not forgotten about the children at Mama Abayol Orphanage. God loves them and He wants a future for them. This was why Governor Ortom stepped in to turn around the state of the orphanage.
The Mama Abayol Orphanage now boasts of a clinic, laundry section, library, common room, hostels, well-furnished dining hall, playground and a computer room, while a brand new Mikano generator has been installed to provide uninterrupted power at the children’s Home.
If these things mean nothing to you, the children at the orphanage love them and they wish that you allow them to ‘manage life’ in their “small corner” while you enjoy your “big space” where only magnificent and earth moving projects are sited.
