Gov. Ortom Inaugurates BIRS Board

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom today officially inaugurated the newly appointed board members of BIRS and other organizations at the government house earlier today.

The governor who congratulated the newly appointed board members charged them to handle their new responsibility with total commitment while living up to the expectation of increasing the state Internally Generated Revenue and creating a friendly tax atmosphere.

He implored them also endeavour to work as a team in order to ensure the delivery of their mandate.

Speaking further the governor admonished the newly appointed board members to be effective, transparent and passionate in carrying out their duties and desist from the ways of the past board members, who did not carry out their duties and responsibilities as expected of them thereby slowing the development of the state, even as he hoped that there will be a different result with the new board members as they will all work together to the success and development of the state.
Those inaugurated today include: Hon. Emmanuel Niyongo, Hon. Rebbeca Apedzan and Hon. Patrick Ogbu.
