Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Wednesday presented letter of appointment to the newly appointed Ad’Enone , His Royal Highness , Engr George Ede
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government ,Prof Tony Ijoho ,SAN presented the letter of appointment to the First Class Chief at the Cabinet Office in Makurdi.
Prof Ijoho said the appointment was made in accordance with the Benue state Local Government law on appointment and deposition of Chiefs.
The SSG thanked king makers in Enone for making the appointment of the new Ad ‘Enone rancour free, maintaining that the administration of Governor Ortom will continue to appoint and upgrade traditional rulers in the state.
In his response, the new Ad’Enone, Engr Ede thanked Governor Ortom for his appointment, assuring that he would continue to promote peace in his domain.
Present at the presentation of the letter of appointment to Chief Ede were the permanent secretary, Cabinet Office ,Mr Gbileve , Chiefs and community leaders from Enone.
