Gov. Ortom reacts to appointment of Prof. Ujah as University of Health Sciences Otukpo VC

Governor Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of Benue State, congratulates Professor Innocent Ujah, Mni, on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo.

The Governor appreciates and commends President Muhammadu Buhari for the establishment of the University of Health Sciences in the State and for appointing Professor Ujah, an experienced professional and administrator as the institution’s pioneer Vice Chancellor.

He says with Professor Ujah’s vast experience which has seen him occupy a number of key positions such as Director-General, Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), National Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Committee on HIV/AIDS, he will no doubt place the new university on the path of academic excellence.

Governor Ortom gives assurance that the Benue State Government will provide the needed support and cooperation for the smooth take-off of the Federal University of Health Sciences.

The Governor restates his earlier promise to upgrade facilities at the General Hospital Otukpo before its conversion to a University Teaching Hospital.
