Governor Samuel Ortom says nominees for a new cabinet will soon be made public, and those to make the list of appointees will largely be technocrats who can help in steering the machinery of government.
The Governor disclosed this today at the New Banquet Hall, Benue Peoples House, Makurdi during an expanded stakeholders meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He said 15 Commissioners and 23 Special Advisers will be appointed in the new administration with each of the 23 local government areas producing one Adviser.
The Governor stated that only excellence and top level commitment will be expected from the new appointees, emphasizing that those found wanting in their responsibilities would be relieved of their appointment.
While acknowledging the support of people of the state before, during and after the elections, the Governor solicited sustained support for the rapid socio economic development of the state.
State Chairman of the PDP, Sir John Ngbede and the Senator representing Benue South, Comrade Abba Moro, commended the initial steps taken by Governor Ortom and sued for support from people of the state to enable him succeed.
