Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom today visited a lecturer in the department of Geography, Benue State University Makurdi, Dr Godwin Kwanga after his rescue from kidnappers by security agents.
Governor Ortom lamented the rising cases of kidnapping in the country, stressing that with the efforts of security agents, criminals would always be brought to book.
The Governor rejoiced with Dr Kwanga and the entire family over his safe release, saying his administration would continue to collaborate with security agents for the security of lives and property.
Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the kidnappers, Dr Kwanga said his abductors trailed him on George Akume Way to a turn where they blocked his vehicle and whisked him to an unknown destination.
He expressed gratitude to God, Governor Ortom and security agents for working tirelessly to ensure he regained freedom and reunited with his family.
