The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful and well-organized conduct of the ongoing election process.
Speaking with journalists after casting his vote in Gudi, Motor pack polling unit 02 on Saturday, expressed satisfaction with the preparations made by INEC, including the deployment of security officials to ensure the safety of voters.
He further noted that by 2:30 pm, voters in Gudi should be able to finish and votes cast would be counted adding that no complaints had been received, and the people of Gudi should be able to finish voting in due time.
Governor Sule stated that he would abide by the outcome of the poll, emphasizing his belief in democracy and the importance of accepting the will of the people.
He cited a previous instance in which the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the presidential election in Nasarawa State by a margin of 19,000 votes but accepted the outcome, stating that any election result that emerges will be accepted by his party.
The Governor further reiterated his commitment to ensuring that corrections are made in areas where the party did not perform well, adding that the choice of the people is paramount and should always be respected.
