Governor Ortom makes news appointment in Benue

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has appointed Mr. Solomon Ayado as Senior Special Assistant on Information.

This was contained in a letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Ijohor, SAN.

Ayado, a consummate journalist, began his pen career with the Nigerian Newsday in 2004, as trainee reporter. He had worked with The Voice Newspapers between 1999 and 2010, later joined the mainstream media as state correspondent of Leadership Newspapers in 2010 and rose through the ranks to become Group Features Editor of the Newspaper.

Also, he was National Assembly Chief Correspondent of Leadership Newspapers: 2017 – 2019 and joined Businessday Newspapers in same position from 2019 to 2020.

Before his appointment, Ayado was the Senior Correspondent of The Sun Newspapers in-charge of Nasarawa state and FCT.
