Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has given his approval for the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Faskari as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Faskari, who previously served as Deputy Governor of Katsina State from 2011 to 2015, will be taking over the SSG position, replacing Arch Ahmed Musa Dangiwa. The latter was recently nominated as a Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda expressed his confidence in Faskari’s vast technocratic experience and expects him to contribute significantly to the state government.
According to the governor, Faskari’s appointment is effective immediately. Born on August 15, 1959, in Funtua town, Faskari hails from the Faskari local government area of Katsina State. He attended Aya Primary School in Funtua from 1966 to 1974, followed by Teachers College, Dutsin-Ma, in 1974. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Faskari enrolled at the School of Basic Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria, where he graduated in 1983.
