A report has claimed that an aide at the Anambra Government House has been dismissed after a leaked video surfaced showing Governor Charles Soludo dancing to the song ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo’ alongside various personalities.
According to a source who spoke to The Whistler, the video was secretly recorded despite an instruction for the proceedings to be kept off-record. The source stated that Governor Soludo had specifically requested that no recordings be made before he started dancing.
“Most people present followed the instruction, but one staff member secretly recorded and leaked the video,” the source revealed.
The governor was reportedly surprised by the leak. “He had asked everyone to put their cameras away and keep the moment private. We’re still investigating how the video got out,” the source added.
The video, which quickly went viral, showed Governor Soludo dancing with officials and guests during the state’s 33rd-anniversary celebration. The individual suspected of leaking the footage was dismissed amid suspicions that they were working for the opposition.
One event attendee said, “The governor’s actions were not intended for public viewing. It was a private moment to lighten the occasion. We’re disappointed it was leaked and are taking steps to hold those responsible accountable.”
