Graham Potter set to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea
Graham Potter is early favourite to replace Thomas Tuchel after he was sacked.
Chelsea announced his sack in a statement via its website on Wednesday.
Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph was one of the first to report on the German’s coach’s sacking this morning, and his piece on the matter names Potter as the club’s top priority.
The Brighton manager has had a steady rise since returning to English football with Swansea after first breaking through at Ostersunds.
The Seagulls have built steadily with Potter at the helm, and now look one of the most impressive outfits in the league.
Chelsea will be hoping to bring in some of that coaching talent, although of course there are doubts simply because of a lack of experience at the very highest level.
Potter’s last European stint was in the Europa League with Ostersunds some years ago, and he has never managed a Champions League game.
Whoever they appoint, Chelsea must do it quickly, with the season now in full flow.
