He wrote on the Kogi correspondent chapel WhatsApp group, “My dear colleagues, I need your prayers. My two daughters and their mother, along with eight other family members, were kidnapped yesterday by unknown gunmen in Kaduna. Please, keep us in your prayers.”
The other abducted family members are Aisha Saba Khadija, Haruna, Adamu Haruna, Muhammad Abubakar, Asmau Abubakar, Usman Abubakar, Muhammad Abubakar, and Hauwa Muhammad.
Bashir has reported the incident to both the police and the Department of State Security Services, who have assured him that efforts are underway to rescue the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.
