Operator of a popular eatery in High level area of Makurdi, capital of Benue has been abducted by gunmen.
The incident was said to have occurred while she was on her way home.
The victim, who is popularly called Lady P, was abducted near her Makurdi residence located off Vandeikya street.
It was learnt the gunmen trailed her shortly she closed for the night and waylaid her Toyota Hilux vehicle.
The gunmen, according to eyewitnesses, shot sporadically into the air to scarce away people.
They took her way in her vehicle, which was later abandoned with her eyes covered.

She was reportedly released after payment of ransom, fuelling fears among residents over the spate of insecurity in the city.
A civil servant Paul Uke lamented the activities of kidnappers, hitherto restricted to rural areas, have been shifted to the state capital.
Police spokesperson Kate Anene told The Nation on phone that she was not aware of the kidnap incident, saying she just returned from a trip.
