Gunmen on Thursday night attacked the convoy of the Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha, and killed eight persons.
The eight persons killed include; two palace guards, the Emir’s driver, three policemen, and two traditional title holders in Kaura-Namoda.
It was gathered that the victims were ambushed and killed on their way back from Abuja to Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara State.
The Emir was in his official vehicle with a Toyota Hilux forming part of the convoy when he was attacked by the gunmen.
The Kaura-Namoda Emirate council is making arrangements to move the remains of the deceased for burial later today.
