Gunmen behead Labour Party chieftain, Maduka Zachary in Abia

Mr. Maduka Zachary, a prominent member of the Labour Party in Abia State, has been brutally murdered by unidentified gunmen. Mr. Zachary, who previously served as the Campaign Director General of the Labour Party in the Isuikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency during the last election, met a tragic end at his residence in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of the state.

The assailants, reportedly armed and yet to be identified, launched a fatal attack on the victim’s home on Wednesday, culminating in his untimely demise. The horrifying nature of the crime saw the assailants decapitate Mr. Zachary.

Confirming the tragic incident, Goodluck Ibem, the President General of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), provided a somber affirmation of the unfortunate event. While Ibem was unable to provide extensive details surrounding the incident, he confirmed the veracity of the report.
