Gunmen claim multiple lives in Anambra nightclub

Porsche Nightclub undergoes a tragic incident in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, where gunmen allegedly shot multiple individuals on Sunday night.

While details about the attackers remain scarce, sources suggest that the gunmen initially sought to kidnap the club owner but faced resistance from the club’s security personnel.

Chukwuemeka Ezefunamba, a witness to the incident, stated, “Due to the resistance, the gunmen resorted to indiscriminate shooting, resulting in the tragic loss of many lives. Shockingly, they also beheaded one of the security personnel who bravely opposed their attempt to abduct the nightclub owner.”

Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, was unable to confirm the incident, promising to investigate and provide further details.

This unsettling event follows a previous attack on another nightclub owner and renowned traditional healer, Akwa Okuko, in the same community months ago. Okuko later revealed that he willingly surrendered to prevent potential collateral damage and rumors circulated that he paid a substantial sum, exceeding N400 million, for his release.
